Blaine’s first realization that there’s someone in his apartment comes when there’s movement directly in front of him.

He yells, instinctively jerking away as his head snaps up from the textbook he’s been bent over, and the intruder yelps — and it’s Kurt; of course it’s Kurt. He’s the only other person with a key to Blaine’s apartment.

Kurt says something, his eyes wide and expression edging toward thunderous. Blaine lifts off his noise-canceling headphones and the soothing sounds of ocean waves fall away.

“Really?” Kurt says. “Those must be some incredible headphones for you to miss two phone calls, five texts, knocking, letting myself in, and saying your name three times.”
